Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a school called “Kindness Elementary School.” It was known for its welcoming and caring environment. All the students were kind to each other, and the teachers encouraged them to be the best versions of themselves. Of course, kindness was a treasured character quality and was highly encouraged.
One day, a new kid named James joined the school. James was shy and nervous, and he didn’t know anyone at the school. He had moved to the town with his family and was feeling a bit lost. He was in need of a friend.
How Can Kids Show Kindness at School?
The students in James’s class noticed that he seemed sad and lonely. They wanted to help him feel welcome, so they decided to include him in their activities. One of the girls, named Lily, approached James and said, “Hi, my name is Lily. Would you like to sit with me at lunch?”
James smiled and nodded, grateful for the friendly gesture. As the days went on, the other students in the class also reached out to James. They invited him to play games with them at recess and included him in their group projects.
The teacher, Mrs. Johnson, noticed how the students were including James and was proud of their kindness. She reminded them that it’s important to treat others the way we want to be treated, and that we should always be welcoming to new people.
Bible Verse about Kindness
One day, during class, Mrs. Johnson read a Bible verse to the students that said, “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31). She explained to the students that this means we should treat others with kindness and respect, just as we would want to be treated.
The students listened carefully and nodded in agreement. They realized that their kindness towards James was an example of living out this Bible verse. They continued to include James in their activities, and he soon became one of their closest friends.
From that day forward, James felt happy and welcomed at Kindness Elementary. He knew that he had found a school where kindness was valued, and he felt grateful to be a part of it. And the students, they learned that including someone new can make all the difference and that being kind is a trait that brings joy to everyone.
